Microstructural Changes of High Strength Concrete during Low Cycle Compression Fatigue Test after Exposure to High Temperature

نویسندگان

چکیده

Using ultrasonic detection, microhardness test, scanning electron microscope mercury intrusion method and X-ray diffraction, the parameters of sonic time, microhardness, pore size distribution, cumulative pumping high strength concrete under low cycle compression loading are tested after exposure to 200 °C, 400 °C 600 °C. Experimental study showed that with increasing times, rangeability total volume shows an overall trend fast-slow-fast. Furthermore, time linearly related longitudinal fatigue strain. The research results provided references for nondestructive testing, damage analysis structural evaluation structures subjected fire or other temperature processes.

Microstructural length scale parameters to model the high- cycle fatigue behaviour of notched plain concrete

The present paper investigates the importance and relevance of using microstructural length scale parameters in estimating the high-cycle fatigue strength of notched plain concrete. In particular, the accuracy and reliability of the Theory of Critical Distances and Gradient Elasticity are checked against a number of experimental results generated by testing, under cyclic bending, square section...

Experimental investigation of the strength of glass fiber-reinforced concrete exposed to high temperature

This study investigated the effects of high temperature exposure on the compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths of concrete containing glass fiber. A total of 108 cubic specimens (150 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm), cylindrical specimens (300 mm × 150 mm), and prismatic specimens (500 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm) were prepared for compressive, tensile, and flexural strength testing, respectively. The spec...

Genetic Programming Based Formulation to Predict Compressive Strength of High Strength Concrete

This study introduces, two models based on Gene Expression Programming (GEP) to predict compressive strength of high strength concrete (HSC). Composition of HSC was assumed simplified, as a mixture of six components (cement, silica fume, super-plastisizer, water, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate). The 28-day compressive strength value was considered the target of the prediction.  Data on 159...
